Abstract:
Two Owners who are leading the way with lean construction in the DFW metroplex discuss why they've chosen this method of project delivery and their experiences thus far. Each will bring members of their project teams.
They will explore lessons learned including how the companies have used Lean principles to improve efficiency and productivity and to reduce waste. Presenters will be highlighting Owner involvement in particular.
The Dallas Fort Worth Community of Practice of LCI provides local lean support to owners, architects and designers, engineers, contractors, specialty contractors, and suppliers.We invite owners and project delivery team members to meet together as a local user group to learn, share, and develop a lean community in DFW. As a regional forum for conversations among practitioners, the CoP will help create a new common sense for the AEC industry as LCI continues to build knowledge in design and construction.
